Return Policy

Standard Return Policy (Default)

Unless otherwise stated on an individual product page, our standard return policy allows returns within 30 days of delivery.

To qualify for a return:

  • Items must be unopened, unused, and in original condition and packaging.
  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, unless the return is a result of our error.
  • Refunds (less any original discounted shipping) will be issued to the original payment method within 3–5 business days after we receive and inspect the return.
  • Products marked “Final Sale” or “No Returns” on the product page are not eligible for return.

Please include your RMA, invoice, or your name and address inside the box so we can process your refund.

Once received, we will inspect your items and issue a refund promptly. You will receive a confirmation email. Most refunds appear on statements within 2–10 business days, depending on your bank.

    Return Policy Details by Product Type (Exceptions to Standard 30-Day Policy)

    Some products have different return windows or restrictions, which are clearly labeled on the product pages. These policies override the standard 30-day return window.

    Final Sale Items (No Returns)
    • Sensitive items such as saline, sterile products, mesh underwear, personal-use medical supplies, and any item marked FINAL_SALE
    • Opened birth pools or opened birth pool liners
    • Personal-use or hygienic items
    Short-Expiry Medical Supplies — 15 Days (15_DAYS)

    Includes medical supplies with limited shelf life as noted on the product page.

    Standard Medical Supplies — 30 Days (30_DAYS)

    Items that follow the standard 30-day return window unless otherwise stated.

    Non-Expiring Birth Products — 60 Days (60_DAYS)

    Items such as certain birth accessories or durable products as marked.

    Birth Pools — 120 Days (120_DAYS)

    Unopened birth pools may be returned within 120 days of delivery.
    Opened pools are not eligible for return, but may qualify for a warranty claim if defective.

    Additional Return Exceptions & Conditions

    • Partial packages or partial quantities cannot be returned. Bulk items must be returned unopened and in full.
    • Shipping fees already incurred are non-refundable once an order has shipped.
    • Special-order items or unusually large quantity orders may be subject to a 30% restocking fee.
    • If you received discounted or free shipping, the actual shipping cost we paid will be deducted from your refund.
    • If the return is due to our error, we will cover the return shipping cost.

    For birth pools:

    • Opened pools/liners cannot be returned unless there is a manufacturer’s defect.
    • If a pool is unwanted but still sealed, the customer is responsible for return shipping.
    • Original shipping fees for delivered pools are non-refundable.
    • Second-hand birth pools do not qualify for warranty coverage.

    No Exchanges

    We do not offer direct exchanges.

    • If an item is faulty, email orders@birthsuppliescanada.ca and we will send a replacement.

    • If you wish to exchange for a different item, return the original item for a refund and place a new order. You do not need to wait for the return to arrive before purchasing the new item.

     

    Warranty Claims for Medical Devices & Birth Pools

    For any warranty claim, please complete the appropriate form:

    If you have received a faulty medical device, please know that we need to adhere to a strict reporting method.  Please complete the Medical Device Warranty Claim form

    • All manufacturing defects must be reported promptly.
    • Please inspect your pool well before your due date to allow time for replacement if needed.
    • Warranty coverage varies by brand and model (e.g., Single Use vs. Professional Use limits).
    • Only the original purchaser may submit a warranty claim.

    Birth Supplies Canada will require the following to process your warranty claim:
