BOOKKEEPER/PURCHASER

Birth Supplies Canada is fast growing online retailer of medical supplies and childbirth related products.  Our target market is maternity clinics (Hospitals, obstetrical clinics and midwifery clinics, doulas, childbirth educators, lactation consultants, and expectant parents.  However, a large portion of our business comes from online customers simply buying medical supplies online.  
We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to take on the role of in-house bookkeeping and purchasing.  
This position will include a variety of tasks:
  • General Bookkeeping
  • Working with external accounting firm for year-end taxes
  • Accounts Payables/Receivables
  • Monitoring and purchasing inventory
  • Financial reporting
  • General admin duties as required
 
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Proven bookkeeping skills
  • Purchasing experience a asset
Salary:
This position will have a starting hourly wage or salary equivalent to $25-30/hour 
Hours:
30-40 hours per week to start.  Flexible scheduling which may include a combination of on-site and remote.
Start date:  September 2020

We are looking for an experienced customer service person.  
This position will include a variety of tasks:
  • Assisting customers in retail store (after COVID-19 is over and our store re-opens)
  • Monitoring incoming online orders:  taking responsibility for customer satisfaction during the online sale process through to completion
  • Monitoring online chat, general email and phone throughout the day
  • Addressing all customer inquires, order changes, complaints, and quoting
  • General admin duties as required
The Ideal candidate:
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Excellent communicator both spoken and written a must
  • Competent and comfortable with computers
  • Multi-tasker
  • Experience with online e-commerce an asset
  • Childbirth knowledge is an asset
  • Medical knowledge is an asset
