    Pool Wet After Liner Use

Water Between Pool and Liner – What to Know

The most common reason for water appearing between the pool and the liner is condensation—this is normal and expected, especially with warm water in a cooler room.

    🔍 Possible Liner Damage?

While condensation is usually the cause, there’s a small chance the liner was damaged:

    • Liners are made of plastic and can crack if unfolded while still cold and not given time to acclimate to room temperature
    • If there were a crack or hole, you would likely have noticed it more clearly during setup or use

If you’re able to locate a visible hole in the liner, please send us a photo so we can investigate further.

    Important Reminders

    • Pools almost always get wet, even when using a liner
    • The liner is designed as a protective barrier to support hygienic use between birth and simplify cleanup - but not a guaranteed waterproof seal
    • After every birth—whether at home, a hospital, or birth center—the pool must still be disinfected and fully dried to prevent mold or deterioration

Your midwife may also be able to help assess whether the moisture is expected condensation or an actual liner issue.
