get up® by Febromed - Patient Transfer & Positioning Support System
The febromed get up® is a fixed support handle mounted to the ceiling, wall, or floor of an imaging or treatment room. It provides a stable grip point above the examination table so patients can actively assist with their own transfer and repositioning, shifting the load off clinical staff and improving positioning consistency.
Designed and manufactured in Germany by febromed under ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 certified quality management, for radiology, radiotherapy, and nuclear medicine. Available in the US.
Mounting options
- Ceiling - preferred for most installations; keeps floors and walls clear, suits new builds and renovations
- Wall - for load-bearing wall structures where ceiling mounting isn't viable
- Floor - stand-alone, no structural modification to the building
Modality-specific configurations
- CT and hybrid imaging - integrates into CT, SPECT-CT, and PET-CT rooms without restricting table access or workflow
- MRI - stainless steel construction, tested in static fields of 0.55 T, 1.5 T, and 3 T; galvanically isolated within the Faraday cage via polyamide bushings, with a permanently anchored intermediate spacer above the suspended ceiling
- X-ray - 2,600 mm swivel arm reaches the full working area around ceiling rail systems; optional electronic position detection with LED status indication coordinates with motorised equipment to prevent collisions, with signal integration adapted to the equipment manufacturer
- Radiotherapy - swings beneath existing ceiling subsystems such as cameras, monitors, and measuring devices; telescopic version with individually adjustable swivel limits and 15° incremental locking for confined bunkers
- Multilift - integrated lifting function rated to 275 kg, with transfer sling for seated patients or 8-point sling for supine positioning, for patients unable to reposition independently
Handle
Notched rail allows the suspension to be set and locked at any point along the beam. Approximately 260 mm of continuous height adjustment, 360° rotating lock, locking pin against unintended dislodging, and a park position when not in use.
Planning and service
febromed evaluates structural requirements, load-bearing capacity, and room configuration, and supplies technical documentation, mounting drawings, and installation guidelines for coordination with local contractors. Installation is carried out by certified partners or supervised by febromed specialists, with system testing and on-site instruction before handover. Maintenance recommendations, inspection guidance, and spare parts support the full service life.
